Relationship to Diabetes
Type 1
Well over the past several months iv had many lessons... Finding out I wasnt just tired I was pretty ill, I was diagnosed with diabetes, struggled through the darkest part of my life so far among the many other joys life like to throw at you all at once. I dont regret one single down day, tear or hopeless feeling because my journey so far has taught me more than anything else. I now know I can get through difficult times, I have learnt who cares about me, I know that a brave face helps many worried faces, I know that I cannot control everything (even if this still bugs me), I have learnt to except that no matter how much I try sometimes I wont control my diabetes, more importantly my biggest lesson is that those small stresses I would become crazy about (like has the bins been taken out) I dont care fore anymore life is too short. I am very happy to say goodbye to 2012 iv had my fair share of challenges but I am also.ready for whatever 2013 decides to bring my plan is to love, laugh, be happy and stress less.

What have you learnt???
🙂 happy new year

Great stuff Ginnie 🙂 Each year, I learn more about me - if only I had known what I know now 30 years ago, but hey! Have a great 2013 with a great attitude! 🙂

Well I'm a bit older than both of you and TBH if I could go back, knowing what I now Know about me, life, the universe and everything - if I changed the way I behaved it would be a different life wouldn't it? And would the second one be better than the first, or not?

Mainly I've liked my life - which is not to say all of it's been easy, but I do actually quite like ME.

Which is the important thing.

I think ....

Very true trophywench.... The grass isnt always greener on the other side! Im just surprised how much iv learnt from having diabetes 🙂
