In the past that would have been a couple of sandwiches and a couple of chocolate biscuits/bars 😱. Now I'm not supposed to eat bread or biscuits, what do I take out?

Ralph.

Today - fritta (tesco) and last night's left over oven roast peppers and onions with basil

Other days: soup and babybel cheeses, a few apple slices.

Don't really need to have a packed lunch as I only eat twice a day, so start out after breakfast and getting back in time for dinner is fine by me.
If I do need to eat out in an evening I tend to buy a cooked chicken, a bag of salad, coleslaw, radishes and maybe a couple of tomatoes - possibly some celery sticks, and have a thermos of coffee with me and some very thick cream sitting in a cool bag with a bottle of ice. It usually means that I will be staying away from home, so I eat dinner and then put the meat and coleslaw in the cool bag for the following morning.

It depends on what I am doing.
A gentle day out: cheese scone to share with OH
A day out walking: bap in quarters to spread during the day, cereal bar to nibble, an apple
plus a carton of juice for any stubborn hypo that might happen if ascents are more challenging.

I quite like a sweet potato wrap with chicken or tuna and salad. Light and easy. Also a chilli wrap made with mince, onions, peppers, kidney beans etc. More filling and very tasty. I sometimes have rice cakes with ham, cheese, tomato or a tuna mix and they are fairly low carb too.

I take a Graze box, some cheese, a small apple, plum or apricot, and one out of Nature Valley protein bar, 9 bar or Aldi gluten free nut bar. I don’t have easy access to a fridge and I need to eat my lunch while I work so that I can go for a proper walk in my lunch break.
