what foods can you eat with diabete's type 2 as i keep getting different answers fom my doctors

Carbs are the problem, but there is no one size fits all.

Start off with any meat, fish, seafood, eggs or cheese, add low carb veges or salad stuff - check after eating using a cheap to use blood glucose meter and replace any foods which cause spikes.
Beans and peas are one of the oddities, some people seem to digest them easily, others don't, so I find that they give spikes as though they have twice the listed values.

I agree with what has been said. I am not a meat eater so I only eat all the other foods mentioned but the only meat being chicken. I also eat fish and shellfish, tinned fish.

I find too that eggs are terrific also I boil some hard keep them in the fridge when in need of a snack. Nuts are another excellent standby for me, always unsalted.

I like M & S food and although you must watch the carbs and calories if you need to lose weight, at this time of year they do mini things. I bought mini fish cakes today, and mini quiches for the freezer. Although they are small, at least you get a little nibble should feel like it.

I have never received a satisfactory answer from any GP or nurse. It seems you have to find what’s right for you.
