Just wanted to ask something that i have been wondering about.
Basically my levels have been great lately to low infact lowest ever. But im getting lots of various lumps and bumps in a variety of places on my body, example being under my arm, my gum is swollen and ive got spots all around my nose( I know dead attractive huh)but they seem to be taken ages to go away.Am i just very unlucky or is it diabetic related and im taking longer to heal?

Cheers all.

Well, I suspect we are all aware of the very nasty long term problems with bad control, but I do find that the little things are more of a problems than they were for me pre-diagnosis. Little wounds do take longer to heal. Might be worth checking with the doctor though if anything in particular is troubling you. I had a strange one - a little lump on the palm of my hand, which the doctor said was probably due to diabetes although I am a little sceptical.

Hi Steff, I'd make a GP appointment just to put you're mind at rest; the lump under your arm could just be a sweat gland; the swollen gum could be some gum disease (a good mouth-wash could help) or a quick dental check-up. In relation to the spots are you using any cream; I still get spots but usually when I'm a little stressed and the warm weather doesn't help. If in any doubt just make a GP appointment or have a chat with a pharmacist. Sometimes worry can exaggerate symptoms..... Amanda x 🙂

I find that when my gums get a little swollen it's because I haven't removed little scraps of food properly. As much as I hate the stuff, dental floss is usually the best for me in making sure any debris is shifted.

Then brushing and mouth wash should help clear any swelling. If it doesn't clear though, you must go and see a dentist. The good ones are really very good these days!

Andy 🙂

Steff,my scalp at times is like the surface of the moon.
Hard boil like lumps of various sizes.
They come and go all the time.
Doesn't affect my good looks though😉
