Hi just was wondering what everyones hypo signal are? Do you just have one? Or several at once. I still have not had one, but am always tired and have blurry eyes at times which makes me wonder whether I would actually know the difference? I hear sweating is quite common howveer I was just intrigued?

I become bad tempered and snappy and then VERY hungry and shakey and clammy.

I think you will know. My first indication is that my eyesight starts to 'flicker' in my peripheral vision - not so much blurry vision, but just like a sort of strobing at the edges. I will also generally feel light headed and anxious, plus I will become uncomfortable with loud noises, like traffic or even the television. I will then progress to feeling cold, but also start to sweat. If it is progressing quickly or I mess about before treating it (also common - you think 'I'll just finish this, then I'll treat it...') then I will begin to shake. The symptoms generally disappear very quickly once I have had a jelly baby or two.

I should add that the vast majority of times I catch it when I only have very mild and early symptoms, so don't go worrying about it - just be prepared with some sweet stuff at all times. 🙂 If you do get quite pronounced symptoms then treat first, then test - always better to treat it than be fumbling around trying to get blood on a test strip when your hands are Shakin' Stevens! 🙂

I get what I call 'the whoosh'. Which is my unscientific term for just feeling 'off'. It's really hard to describe, it's sort of like an unsettled, hollow feeling that starts in your stomach but then stretches out to your arms and legs and your temples. Then I get the hunger, which also then usually causes sweating and occasionally the shakes. Then I get the tingles - anything that touches my skin feels like it's bouncing on me like a trampoline, while my tongue then feels thick and tingly too. I've also been told when I've had a really big drop, I go pale.

I tend to get an odd light-headed kind of feeling and my vision gets a bit blurry. I shake if I get very low (low 2s) and apparently I go pale too.

Feel light headed. Cant' concentrate on more than one thing, very focused on continuing whatever I'm doing, even though I'm getting a message that from another bit of my brain that I really need to take some glucose.
A long way from my first diabetic hypo when I was shaking and sweat was pouring down my face (had dosed for a meal in a restaurant and it hadn't arrived)

I usually shake and sweat. No so bad when it's cold, but in the summer not great. I feel wretched though, and after treating can still feel 'weird' for a bit.

Night ones are the worst, I mostly wake up confused and crash in to things if I get out of bed. 😱

Shakes the main one for me too, along with feeling incredibly hot... if I drop low enough I go the opposite of most people from what I can tell and get incredibly giggly - normally trying to persuade my hubby to dance in the living room... his excuse for not now is - think maybe you should check your sugars! I may never get a random dance without this being the response again :( lol

That is hilarious! I hope I get giggly! Then I maybe wouldnt fear it so much!🙂

Lucky me, never had one. 🙂 Helpful to know the signs though, in case it ever does. Thanks all.

I used to get symptoms, light headed, shaking, shivers, irritability and the like, unfortunately that has stopped at the moment, about all I get now is a slight tingling in my lips when my BG is super low (2.2 this morning and feeling perfectly fine 😱)

I've been trying to run my BGs slightly higher to get my symptoms back, but they have not yet returned so I do a few more tests than would be normal for me (easily up to 10 a day if I feel I need to, good job I have more than 1 meter with enough strips for each.)
