A GROUP of cyclists from Weston College raised more than £1,000 in memory of a cherished colleague during a gruelling ride last month.
The 35 cyclists included staff members and friends and relatives of Heather Wood, who worked at the College's Construction and Engineering Centre of Excellence (CECE).
Heather, 53, worked at CECE for 15 years but died suddenly last year while on a College trip to Italy. The Resource-based Learning Coordinator was an insulin-reliant diabetic for 10 years and the ride was raising money for Diabetes UK.
