A father has been chosen to speak at the House of Commons about how his young sons live with a severe form of diabetes.
Lee Bates from West Bromwich will represent JRDF, the type one diabetes charity at the Type One Parliament on March 11.
His sons Alfie, aged five, and Charlie, three, both attend Moorlands Primary School and have the condition.
Mr Bates, of Schofield Avenue, will be one of 60 adults and children whose lives are affected by type one diabetes to and have been selected from across the country to represent their ?constituencies?.
The exact cause of type one diabetes is unknown, but it is not linked to lifestyle or diet.
