FOLLOWING the death of his father due to a complaint resulting from diabetes, a golf club captain has chosen to raise money for a charity close to his heart.

David Morton, who plays at Panshanger Golf Complex in WGC, has named Diabetes UK as his charity of the year.

He wants to raise awareness of the condition and raise as much money as possible to support the “fantastic work” of the charity, as a tribute to his father, William, who died at the age of 83.
