The bolus reduction for breakfast, woke to a 4.6 (was out from 8 till 3 yesterday so very active and had a biscuit at bed time as was 5.3) no option but to reduce bolus as was suggested by lovely DSN yesterday on the phone when she called for a follow up from last weeks appointment, suggested move to a 1:15 ratio, 29g carb breakfast (well 29.2 actually but we wont fuss haha) result 2 hours later - 5.8, result 4 hours later - 5.3, well I'll take that today then lol, 5 minute gap between injecting and eating so will try again tomorrow and see how it goes x

You're getting the hang of now which is good
May it continue the numbers that is.

One of the many things I love about this forum, the type 2's that don't know about insulin yet still support and encourage it's great 🙂 much appreciated 🙂 x

Thanks Kaylz...not happy about having diabetes...but...I have...nothing I can do about that...thank god it's type 2...I'd be useless with insulin...no mathematical skills...no directional skills...so dosing correctly would somewhat challenging...finding the right spot...a nightmare...perhaps we're given what we can cope with best...who knows...good to hear you're working things out!

Pleased for you. Am also really happy that you don't seem so worried about changing/trying out different doses and timings. You have come a long way since you joined us 🙂

I've been encouraging you since approx Day 1.5, not to be so flippin SCARED - and trying to get you to apply the same logic I've (and many others here of similar vintage) always had to apply - when there was literally nobody to ask before trying something.

Put my sensible head on for a few minutes and ask myself What is the worst thing that can happen - if I do whatever it is?

If the worst is that I'll be a bit low or high for a couple of hours - well - that won't kill me anytime very soon, will it?

LOL

Should I try abseiling off a cliff tomorrow?

What's the worst thing that could happen to me if I do it?

Funnily enough - I've never tried abseiling !!!!

ROFLMAO, Kaylz.

Well done!

Not off a cliff but I have been abseiling haha, its rather good, ya should give it a try :D x

You'd never get me anywhere near the edge lol.

Really pleased your change of bolus has made such a difference Kaylz. I have little idea although picked up various words and phrases from this forum!

I absolutely loved it! My FIL did a charity abseil last year off the cliffs at one of the local beaches, me and my partner were planning to do it with him this year but the other half now doesn't want me doing it :( x

Eh Jenny, I'm scared of heights since I fell down a hill as a teenager. Believe me when I tell you I abseiled down the side of Hagerstown castle building years ago. Wow, terrified but pleased I did it, probably more like in the gear and lowered on a rope lol
