Well I got a text from the doc saying well done for reducing my HBA1c but later in the day missed call from doc surgery to ring them, surgery closed now but I checked my urine test results on-line and indicated it was abnormal.

I don't have any symptoms of infection, but I do wonder sometimes if I have kidney stones as I notice my urine flow cannot be hurried occasionally.

Does any one understand these results? (I actually thought it was a good urine sample - it was completely clear and light in colour so surprised me I got an abnormal result)

Urine culture Final Report
Spec.type/site Urine
Microscopy
Leucocytes 50 x10^6/L Epithelial Cells 15 x10^6/L
Erythrocytes : NOT Tested
Culture Antibiotic 1 2 3
1 Beta haem Strep gp B >10^8/L Amoxicillin S
2 Nitrofurantoin S
3 Cephalexin S
Nitrofurantoin should be avoided if eGFR < 45

Many thank for any insights.

I'd be very careful doing self-diagnosis. And test results can give a false positive, it happens for various reasons. However, some may be able to interpret your results satisfactorily.

I don't usually self diagnose at all, but I will run it by my doctor to see if she wants to do further tests. In the past I have had similar results indicating UTI but have had no symptoms and therefore nothing else offered re treatment or further tests.

That's fair enough. Sounds like you've got a good handle on things.
