Had a really weird dream about chocolate that woke me up checked my bs and it was 3.1 , was that my body alerting me of hypo or was i just dreaming of chocolate 🙂

Our bodies do some amazing things. A dream of something sweet is probably your body telling you it needs glucose. One night I dreamed I was very thirsty, I was a bit thirsty when I woke up. When I went into the kitchen, the bowl in the kitchen sink was nealy full up as one of the taps hadn't been turned off properly...

You could think of your subconscious state as being able to tap into the internal communications of your body that you normally aren't aware of, so I think its perfectly possible..............you must be a good sleeper........:D

I wish I could dream of chocolate, sounds much nicer. I tend to have weird dreams.

Last night I dreamt that I had an argument with my parents and decided to run away from home. I flew out my bedroom window and used a cross channel ferry to go to France where I flew around a bit. I then went onto Italy and Spain where I got chased by the police who wanted to catch a flying boy so I went back home.

This isn't the first time I've dreamt of flying either, a few times I have dreamt of being back in University halls and levitating from room to room saying hello to people.

(go on, someone figure what that's all about)

You're a frustrated airline pilot? You want to travel around Europe in a private jet?

I am sure I was told it meant that you have given up on something that was worrying you - either by sorting it out or by just letting go? Does this mean anything to you?
I bet your arms hurt this morning!

Similar has happened to myself, dreamt I was low and eating glucose and woke to find I was in the 3's, the mind is a marvelous thing and has the ability to alert us in our hour of need.

I have odd dreams too when I get a night hypo, not usually about food though. The weirdest one I've had was about me walking round the town and seeing everyone running round on train tracks, they had wheels instead of feet. I was the only one walking normally, and going wherever I pleased. When I woke up and tested I was in the 3s.

The mind works in mysterious ways!
I get this too! I'll usually dream about eating biscuits and wake up shaking and sweating with BM less than 3! And before diagnosis I used to dream about drinking lots and lots of water and wake up with such intense thirst, obv with hyperglycaemia, and I just didn't know it! 😱

Love this thread, I started one a few weeks ago about weird dreams and hypos, I had woke mid hypo and lay there trying to guess who was the last member on this forum to have posted! It led to some fab replies that others also have crazy dreams and found in confusing and compromising situtions. I figure (from personal experience!) that the lower the levels, the nastier and more nightmarish the dreams become!

I do think the brain is an amazing organ and how it copes when our condition deprives it with an essential nutrient!
