Hiya All

Hope you all doing well 🙂

My sugars have been a bit up and down but mostly due to my own fault! I have now joined a netball league with my work mates and a match and a practsie each week and am starting WW fpr the second time 2nt. I am hoping this will all get me back on track and have a positive effect on my sugars. I lost 2 stone in 2009/2010 for my wedding but it has piled back on since and in turn my insulin doses have crept back up all of which doesnt help with sugars of weight!

couple of questions: 1) Is anyone doing the new WW pro points diet? whats it like? I've heard fruit is now free.... 2) my netball matches start between 7-8.45 each wednesday night any advice on my insulin dose I do at tea time (about 5pm due to match) so that I don't hypo/hypa?

Cheers Guys 😛

Can't offer any advice, but good luck with the weight watchers and the netball.

As netball training may be steady and prolonged activity a background reduction may help you out..........

but I suppose you really need to experiment, as you dont want to take on any extra carbs for weight reasons a reduction of meal time insulin may also help....

hiya.

I did WW pro points - same reason as you....lost it for the wedding, then it all piled on. Then I gave up smoking and even more piled on.

tbh, for me personally, I struggled with this diet, just purely because I what you are and aren't allowed etc doesn't necessarily mean you can as a diabetic. I think my struggles were down to my own lack of knowledge though. I've known quite a few people on it who have steadily lost weight and still been able to enjoy a little bit of something naughty too. you will probably have much more luck than me! good luck, and let us know how you get on!!
