The range now is anything from 5.7 to 9 pre meals and post meals from 9 to 12.6.

My next HBA1c is in October and unless it is higher than the first one of 7.9 I will continue to be diet controlled. I have lost 1st 7oz since March.:D

Congratulations Veganlass! That's great 🙂

Vegan congrats well done to you, if i had a gold star you would be wearing it x

Thanks. Downsize of the weight loss is I feel cold more and I get constipation!!!. Amazing for a vegan who eats loads of fruit and veg!.

Hi veganlass. Huge congrats on your weight loss and the new BGs !🙂

Could the constipation be down to not drinking enough ? Less food = less moisture intake, so you may need to compensate by drinking more. Maybe

As for the cold, it's a tricky one but I'll see what I can do :D

Well done. The constipation issue confused me at first.. eating cauliflower, broccoli, sweet potato etc etc.,you would imagine it would be the last thing to worry about, but I realised that having lost the insane diabetic thirst, I was hardly drinking anything. Change of diet often changes "habit" as well and after a while things returned to a comfortable regularity without the need for laxatives. Avocado is full of fibre so may help too.

I am not sure where it sits in GI terms but if in need of help Dragon Fruit seems to be a very effective natural laxative, and in trying to find its GI value I also read that "some say" it can help diabetics control BG levels... quite expensive but no worse than supplies of Senakot etc...

Are you sure that you feel cold... in the sense that as opposed to simply not feeling too hot you are just aware of being cooler, I know that I get much less hot and bothered having lost some weight and actually enjoy the sensation of feeling the cooler days and being able to wrap up warm without getting hot and bothered...

Thanks.I do drink loads of water. Pears usually help and they are in abundance at the moment.

I eat loads of fibre.
