    This is my latest project.
I have been gathering tubing from pumpers, and have designed this piece of weaving around the output from a Libre sensor, showing average glucose readings over thirty days for each hour.
Only the one for 01:00 so far as it took me a bit of time to sort out the new techniques.

Just another 23 blocks to do.

The piece will eventually be mounted on a frame (to keep the tubing under control) for an exhibition Nov/Dec entitled Wasted

The attachments here don't work, it says they aren't found. I shall look forward to seeing them when you've sorted it out! I think we can squeeze in one more pump change before I send your envelope back :)

I too wasn't able to access the attachment, unfortunately. Looking forward to seeing it soon.

    Great bit of work.

Did you see that program on Anni Albers part of the BBC Bauhaus (way to short) season?

Looks fantastic @SB2015. I can see the wire healds, too. Takes me back to my student days when I was nickel plating them.:)

Saw the program and also went to the exhibition at Tate Modern last year. The next project for our weaving group is ‘An Homage to Ani Albers’. I have worked out how she wove her yellow grey and white pieces, understood her notation and plan to design a piece based on that technique. All good fun.
The Bauhaus museum in Berlin is worth a visit if you ever get to that city.

This piece changed a lot as it progressed. The woven part at the top uses the tubing from pumps which you should be able to see sticking out at the sides. All the labels are written on squares cut out of card from packaging for pump accessories and sensors.

I shall do another fully woven piece showing glucose results over the full 24 hours, in a box and whisker plot (like the bits at the top of this one which were results gather in 6 lots of 4 hours). That will go into our second exhibition in another gallery also entitled Wasted.

(Thanks to those that sent tubing)

That is an amazing piece of weaving @SB2015 :) You are very talented and patient !

If I'm not mistaken I'm sure I recognise that piece of tubing 8 rows down ;)

Thanks Steph. They include events that lead to the levels shown in the weaving.
It was so much fun to do.

The next design needs 300 tubes so I shall be glad of your contribution.
