Welcome to the forum, Pinkgin.

It's not unknown for people to stop taking medication for type 2 diabetes, usually when they have modified their diet / carbohydrate intake, increased exercise levels and reduced body weight. Does any of that apply to you, Pinkgin?

Hi there,
what meds were you on ?
How were you originally diagnosed ?
What have your HbA1cs been like ?

Perhaps the Doc means you have established Good Control.

The diagnosis of diabetes is permanent. However, if you've lost weight and improved your diet this could mean that the symptoms are currently in abeyance.

This doesn't mean that you are cured though! In my case, if I put the weight on again or eat something excessively carby, I can still get a bit of a shock!!

Well done, by the way, and long my the new you last.

Andy 🙂
