So as it's lighter mornings & nicer, ill be walking to work BUT when I've been walking on my lunch, ill go out around 8/9 & by the time I'm back at work ill be very low 4's.

Today's shopping has proved this again with a 5.2 drop

Even with less novo on board it happens, am wondering how dangerous it would be to not inject & walk to work as I love my summer walks, I won't be running this year due to my route to work has changed

I love walking too. We all react differently to exercise and carbohydrate intake. I don't inject less fast acting insulin when walking but I do top up every 20 minutes or so with a mini jelly bean to keep my blood sugar at a safe level. I know a younger more energetic person who cuts the fasting acting insulin right back to a minimum.

Walking before I moved house wasn't a problem as it was in a safe area & I could be distracted by eating 2 jelly babies every 20 mins
But now to walk to work takes me through a not so nice area where there are the odd muggings so I want my wits about me.

If your exercise is a regular thing as in same routine, perhaps think about cutting your basal!

I did wonder about that but I'm lazy, I don't walk come late autumn til spring plus I've been told to leave my basal alone by my DSN (I've knocked it down so I can walk with no hypos by my waking bloods are back up to 15 :( )
