hi sorry i dont have a link for the news item in question, but i think you can get it on skys catch up service on the internet.

it was on angela and friends (angela griffins new show on sky one). they had a doctor talking about many things including vitamins and suppliments. in his opinion he says that taking vitamins is not worth it as most are to high a dose for the body to absorb so they just come out in the urine. also he said that if you need extra of something then try and get it from your food and not from suppliments.

will try and locate a link for it for you all 🙂

ok here is a link to the site and the vitamins page, but it hasnt got the info the doctor was giving about the actual suppliments. it does show however that there are certain foods that give you better vitamin concentrations.

Interesting - thanks Minster.

I notice squash and pumpkin are good sources of vit A - will put a recipe idea on the recipe section for cheap, nutritious lunch!
