Hi. Sorry this isn't diabetes related but wondered if you helpful lot have come across anything similar.

I have had a lot of stomach upsets and nausea since Christmas and put this down to the usual winter bugs. Went to the gp last week to ask for a general mot lot of blood tests to see if they identified anything out of line.

The GP looked at my last lots of blood and commented that my vitamin d level of 181 (she didn't quote units) was very high although still in normal range (from 20-200). Since the appointment I have googled excessive vitamin d and it sounds exactly like the symptoms I have. She suggested dropping it to a 1/4 of current dose which I will do (current dose is 10000 iu a day which I triple checked at the time as it seemed VERY high and I have taken this for over a year).

Just wondered if anyone else had experienced too much vitamin d and what did they feel like?

Thanks

No - the opposite. They have refused to test mine to see if it's still low, or not.

I take 20mcg a day. for the first few months on vitamin D I was taking triple that to get my levels back to normal. (Yes, there is something normal about me:D)
