Morning All,

So I noticed something quite interesting. I'm losing weight (slowly) with the LCHF diet (which is amazing as I've been trying to lose weight all my adult life and failing). Over the last few days, I noticed something interesting. I'm quite bendy even though I'm huge and have always managed to touch my toes easily but putting on laced shoes was always a bit of a strain cos I felt the pressure in my belly. Recently, I've found that feeling of pressure lessening and it's very noticeable. I looked it up and some sites say LCHF is good for losing visceral fat and some say it's impossible to tell. I know the last time I weighed this it was because I was very ill after surgery complications so I can't really compare and wondered if any of had any thoughts on the matter? It feels great whatever the reason but a very interesting development.

I would not fret too much about it... just wear a contented smile because you have found something that works for you and your weight is going down!

Keep up the good work, I say.

I wasn't hugely overweight to start with and like you could always touch my toes but being able to bend over comfortably and tie shoelaces was something I really noticed too when I lost the weight. I think it is because of the fat around the upper abdominal (liver) area that causes a constriction when we lean forward and bring our arms in to fasten shoelaces and this does seem to be some of the first fat to go, perhaps because the liver starts processing it first when we reduce the amount of carbs in our diet. It is a nice feeling isn't it.... a real obvious sign that things are improving!

I think the tum is the first thing to be affected, plus skin. Both improve fantastically. The tum goes all flobby, it's great. That's how I knew something was wrong with my liver, tum hard and nasty and refused to go down whatever. :(

Well done on weight loss etc. 🙂
