I find watching the prep very meditative.

Yeah...inspiration's where it's at. I tend to avoid full elaborate recipes because it's hard to maintain that kind of pantry on hand. I also rarely have access to a good kitchen situation. But these recipes always give me ideas.

Great thread, although not vegan or veggie, I do try to have a day or two without meat every week (And generally fail.)

Whether for health, environmental or ethical reasons, reducing animal-product consumption is an important thing to try to do. Perhaps you might find it more sustainable to cut the quantity on a daily basis rather than 100% on couple of days. You'll effect a greater reduction, but without the white-knuckling (Animal products are indeed very addictive).

Have you tried any recipes by the Bosh pair?

We eat a lot of their recipes, now adapted as my youngest who was vegan restarted eating cheese when studying overseas where veganism was still much rarer, and ingredients like Nutritional Yeast harder to find

Just one meal a day of meat, and usually a chick breast or fish. Yoghurt most days. Occasionally cheese.

Today has been a 'meat-free'. I'm currently digested a massive bowl of Daal. 🙂

I'm currently trying to cut my consumption of peanut butter. That's about the only food I find addictive!
