Hiya I'm T2 on medication had my vaccine on Wednesday gone only side effect I had was achy arm and a stiff neck other than that all good. Nothing to worry about 🙂 x

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'm well stocked up foodwise, always have painkillers (arthritis in feet), on furlough currently & have plenty of games and puzzles on my phone for entertainment if necessary. Not sure if my sleeveless fancy party frock (closest thing I have to a ballgown) will fit anymore . My neighbours up the road had the Oxford vaccine a few weeks ago at the same surgery.

Have to say, binned my posh frock off the shoulder wardrobe some years ago - some of which relied on boned bodices to prevent them being 'off other protruding bits of anatomy' so even if I'd still got them I'd never get in them. Haven't been anywhere to dress up in recent years - nobody has got married for years in our family either so it was a bit of a puzzle what to wear for a church christening a couple of years ago. I did look at a couple of shoestring strappy holiday Tshirts nice and flat, waiting! under thick stuff and wonder - but opted for a short sleeve Tshirt under a thick cardy with a normal padded winter coat on top, which it turned out was shorter than the cardy, so not an ideal combination - but Hey Ho!

But - what FUN that would be!

Hi, so I'm type 2 non medicated exercise/diet only (and not testing at home) and I've got my covid vaccine tomorrow morning. Does anyone have any advice, anything I need to know or and helpful tips?
Have some paracetamol at the ready

Oh for a nice swanky night out. A lovely dinner and dance somewhere posh.

Hope the jab went well yesterday, and it was well organised where you had it done @Berenice

I had next to no after effects from my jab (aside from the mildest of headaches) until about 3 days later when I felt a bit thick-headed and had a slightly sore arm for a day or two.

Hope you are similarly unaffected 🙂

So 48 hours after my first jab. I got given the Pfizer vaccine. The only real symptom I have experiences is a sore arm and that is a lot better today. Late last night I developed a headache but that may have been due to other factors - too much sunshine or dehydration. My fasting readings were 4.6 yesterday and 6.4 today. The lower reading is probably due to the 4.5 mile brisk walk to the Health Centre and back so do take that one with a pinch of salt. FWIW I barely noticed the jab itself.

Top tip: ladies wear a vest top under a shirt!! Schoolgirl error.

It went very well thanks. Very efficient. You barely knew you were in the building before you were out again. A little foggy headed yesterday morning, but I could have been just tired anyway, but other than that so far nothing. Not even a dot on my arm where it went in.
