I tested as usual before I went to bed last night and BGs were 6.7. 2 hours later I was up to the loo, tested again at 7.1. My lowest score was 4.1 at 3am. It was like that all night, trooping up the stairs every two hours on average and peeing loads, but not all that thirsty. I tested every time and my BGs didn't get above 9.9. When I got up this morning my BG was 6.1 but I've been to the loo twice since then.I can't get in to see the Doc today so I've settled for a telepohone appointment, but do you think it might be a UTI since my numbers aren't bad at all (for me that is)? They were a little higher yesterday and the day before but not over 12 or under 4. I'm not in any discomfort or pain, no temperature and I've had cystitis before so I know it's not that, nor is it Thrush. I'm puzzled.

It might just be the cold weather doing it. Make an appointment to see the doctor and have a chat to him (to rule out all possibilities) and try to keep the fluids up as you're peeing so much.

It could be a UTI or - sure we've had this conversation before recently haven't we? - of course you could perhaps have a prolapse or something.

If it's a UTI they can tell with a dipstick there's summat going on but will need to send it off to find out what you are growing to give you the appropriate antibiotic.

GP jobby I agree !

Nope, it ain't a UTI. Although Doc is going to send the wee stick (OUCH!) off for testing to be sure. Maybe it was the cold weather after all, as it seems to have stopped now and I didn't have to get up at all last night and yesterday was fairly normal.
