US Dietary Guideline Advisory Removes Advisement on Cholesterol Regulation

Now you can eat eggs freely because the U.S. Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee has changed their ruling on cholesterol: mainly that they no longer advise restriction.

USDA nutritional scientist David Klurfeld says, “The U.S. is the last country in the world to set a specific limit on dietary cholesterol. Some of it is scientific inertia.”

And it may seem like this is just your every politics here in the U.S.A. but we also have much higher study requirements here too.

University of Alabama professor of public health, David Allison, comments, “These reversals in the field do make us wonder and scratch our heads. But in science, change is normal and expected.”
