Relationship to Diabetes
I know an urinalysis cannot be used to properly diagnose diabetes however, these pee stick tests do detect levels of glucose and ketones in the urine sample.
Say you did have high blood sugar which was uncontrolled would some levels of glucose and ketones be detected in a sample? Also I know that levels of gravity can be assessed here, therefore could be used as a diagnostic tool for someone who could have diabetes insipidus?

From what I recall, you normally only start to see glucose in your urine when your levels are something like 10+.

Yes, that's my understanding as well Mark, although the threshold at which glucose appears in the urine can vary from person to person, so could be higher in some and lower in others 🙂
