I'm a bit worried here and wondering if I should change the test cassette and put a different one in - the reason....look at my bgls.....
14:37 - 7.5 lunchtime yesterday
20:21 - 5.7 teatime
23:37 - 5.7 bedtime
6:43 5.2 - waking this morning
9.54 5.8 - breakfast
I did briefly put another test cassette in which gave a reading of 6.4 but then I changed it back again to the one where I'm getting 5s

It could be the cassette or it could have been the heat over the last few days. I’ve noticed my levels went silly and now with the drop in temperature they are coming back to normal.
Also asked chemists, when I was picking up script, and he said levels go silly when dehydration starts as apparently we are more vulnerable than others.
extra hydration has helped

Maybe the cassette is ok because I've just done a random after breakfast test (random because unless I feel funny I usually only test meal to meal) and the result was 11:25am 6.9

Maybe being in Chester on holiday is just what I need 🙂

14:13pm 6.3 lunchtime - what's happened to all my bgls?

Surely the cassette is just a transport device to take the blood into the test area. No gubbins in there, is there?

Don’t worry about it, that's what you want isn’t it? Being away from home must be good for you, maybe you are more relaxed? Stress can mess up your levels too!
It was all change again at teatime with a score of 9.0

Hi Gill

I use the Accu Chek Mobile. The cassette is just like a roll of test strips. They could be effected by heat but your levels are looking good. There are going to be anomalies as we deal with so many different factors.

Great to read that you are away on holiday. I tend to keep no records when away. It is a holiday so I cut myself some slack. Enjoy what you are doing whilst away and just do the best that you can.
