LUCKNOW: In May 1957, a 32-year-old pregnant woman was found murdered in Bradford, Yorkshire in England. The death of Elizabeth Barlow was believed to be the world's first documented insulin homicide murder case. Barlow's husband Vincent was a male nurse, while Ritu Kapoor's husband is a general physician. Whether Ritu's husband Avadh Kapoor was actually responsible for her death will be decided by the court and remains a subject of further investigation. Nevertheless glaring similarities in the world's first and UP's first documented case of insulin murder have come to fore. Ritu Kapoor was 32 at the time of her death as was Elizabeth and both of them were pregnant.
