Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Hi guys
Just thought I'd put update on, from my first post a month ago. I originally was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and secondary very high cholesterol levels which meant my sodium level were very low ( not in sink blood, basically )
I was referred to the endocrine team for investigation. Today, I received a letter from the endocrine department stating it's dietary controlled and to go onto a Mediterranean diet. To book a further lipid blood test and glucose blood test with my doctor. Called the doctors today, to try and book this, and asked if I can see a diabetic nurse, was told that the diabetic nurse has left and consequently left without support in that direction. No other way of knowing which direction I'm to go in from here, other than looking online for Mediterranean diet food ideas.
However, it's good news that the consultant thinks it's diet controlled 🙂
Hoping to get a blood test soon to see if the tablets and my reduced diet has worked
