I have been around, reading, just not always logging in.
Just thought i'd post a quick update.
After my last appointment, where i ended up in tears cause the locum doctor told me that Hba1c of 8 was ok for trying for a child and there was no need for me to have a pump. (Have complained about him now)
OH managed to get me transfered to a nice lady doctor, who took one look at my record (Hba1c has now gone up to 8.6, despite best efforts to get it down.) agreed that I needed a pump. She also said that it is prefered to be below 7.6 before TTC.
But, they have put in for funding for me to get a Medtronic Veo. :D
Just a waiting game on both sides now.

Hi Akasha! Lovely to hear from you again, and great news about the pump! Shame you had to encounter the rubbish locum, but good that you now have a good doctor 🙂 Any idea when you might get the pump?

Glad you got rid of the dodgy loccum, but good news about the pump. I hope all works out well for you.

It is frustrating when you are trying so hard for a baby and it doesn't happen. For my part (and pre diabetes) I stopped wanting a baby and had decided I was going to get some fluffy/furry pets instead so started to relax more about the idea and got my baby after all.

Thats great news, hopefully the process will be speedy and you can start your family......:D

Really really pleased for you 🙂 hope you are up and running by the Sept meet!

I have lots of Medtronic sets left over from when I was using a Medtronic, if you want I can post you some sets to try? No worries if not! 🙂

Dont know yet when I will have it. Just wait for the phone call saying that the PCT will fund it.
Well, We wern't going to start trying yet, but knowing the date for the wedding. (Last month :D ) I have been trying for nearly a year now to keep my Hba1c down, and its gone up. But now im serious about getting it down.

Shiv. I'm also hoping I will have it by sept. Thanks for the offer. No point sending me stuff before I have the pump. Bring them to the meet?
