hi because of all your replys yesterday that said most of you fast for blood t ests i thought i would ring back doc's as they said i don't need to, now guess what yes i do have to fast!! 14 hours from tonight. 😱
 
What are you being tested for?, if its jusst HbA1c then you should not need to!

It's usually for cholesterol tests that they ask you to fast. Hope the tests go well and you don't get too hungry! 🙂

yes it's for cholesterol so because i need an early appointment i'm not going to be until 18th now thanks for support pat.
 
Make sure you do eat something 14 hours before the test time; drink water while fasting - they only mean don't eat or drink things with calories / caffeine etc; sleep as much as possible of the 14 hours to avoid hunger; but it's not that bad really 🙂
