Hi all, hope you are all well, I am feeling like a human being again and very pleased with myself, I got my test results back from the DSN today after putting it off for a week (all down to fear of having co**ed it up) the figures are very good for me. :D

HbA1c :- 6.7, a drop of .6
Cholesterol :- 3.5, a drop of .5
B.P. :- 130/90 a little high but not too bad says the DSN.
Kidneys :- Protein 72, "normal".
Weight :- down 3kg from my last weigh in.

So, all in all I'm feeling almost normal and it has all been down to moderation instead of the usual, being good for a week then going off the rails at the slightest excuse.

I feel great. All the best everybody! :D

Well done!

You must be pleased with the results 🙂

Excellent results Jimbo! Well done, and good to hear from you 🙂

Thanks Alan, I was reading another thread about blood pressure on the forum there and it made me think about the reason why there may be a slight increase in mine.

So, all I need to do now is remember that and tell the DSN, maybe it will mean she will not be worried about my BP levels increasing slightly.

Oops sorry, the reason that I was taken off my BP tablets was due to a cough ( recognised side effect), I wasn't put on anything else because my scores previously were 115/80 and 120/80 and had stayed consistently in that area for a year or so.

Well done!

You must be pleased with the results 🙂

Oh Yes! It has made me a little more ...confidant for want of better word(s)

I hadn't previously made the connection but, again, something I read on the forum made me realise that I had become depressed as a result of poor control. I didn't feel worthy as a person and also a bit of a fraud compared to all the others who were struggling with their control but were cheerful and at least making the effort.

I couldn't talk to you guys because I had developed such a negative attitude to D, basically I had reached the stage of *uc* it! if I die, I die, I don't care anymore. For a long time that only made me worse. Luckily an aunt recognised the problem and talked me into getting some help. Funnily enough it didn't take much to get me back on track once I had a chat with the Doctor.

Sorry to ramble on, but I feel better within myself now and have opened up again, rather than bottling everything up as I had become accustomed to doing.

Anyway, thanks for the kind comments, regards, Jimbo. 😛:D😛
