I never understand statements like this:
For every serving of red meat consumed, there is a 26 percent increased risk of diabetes. For processed meats, it is 38 to 73 percent increased risk for diabetes with every serving.

What does that mean? Practically everyone in Western societies would have diabetes after two or three meals involving spam? Where do such figures come from?

Blimey I must have eaten a lot of meat when I was a baby to have got diabetes at two 😱
