I have been unwell for a little while now, getting headaches every day for about 3 weeks and also suffering with feeling faint and out of breath just from standing.

I have been to the doctors twice, the first time they sent me for numerous blood tests to check for infection, anemia, thyroid etc. All came back OK. The second time they checked me over and just gave me stronger painkillers for the headaches.

Today I feel awful. I feel faint again, I am clammy and have very sweaty hands, the headache is still ongoing and I now also feel sick. My blood sugars are all in single figures and I am not having a hypo.

On top of this I am now feeling anxious and I am in this circle of do I feel anxious because I am ill or do I feel ill because I am anxious.

Don't know what to do with myself today!! Just counting down the hours to go home.

Sorry to hear you are feeling so poorly Emma.

Good that your BGs are in single figures though - so it doesn't seem that it's related to your diabetes.

Keep a close eye on things, and hope you GP can work out what's going on for you soon.

Emma - could it be low blood pressure? Not an expert on this but I have had bouts of feeling dizzy and sickly when I have got up from my chair which has passed off in a few seconds and I have bouts of low blood pressure. My GP has been taking bloods recently and found I have an iron deficiency but am not anaemic. I am a regular blood donor and he thinks that it may be due to this as not making the iron up quickly enough. Not sure but if you were just iron deficient without being anaemic it may cause problems (thought you had to be anaemic to have an iron deficiency, but you don't).

I sometimes feel nauseous but I do have trouble with my neck due to sitting at computers at work (now retired). Not sure this could be a problem with you though as you look quite young. I am a lot older than you so expect to have some musculo-skeletal probs. I am pre-diabetic again, having got out of it once.

Hope you feel better soon and also get to the bottom of what has been causing it.
