Hi, hopefully someone can advise me
My son had this last year suffering with feeling faint, sick, hot and clammy at lot. Toilet a lot
I bought a glucose reader and tested him

before eating it read 4.0mmol
2hrs later after eating 4.9mmol

he’s fit healthy thin tall 12yr boy

any advice would be greatly accepted

Hi @Mjcskipton 🙂 Those are perfectly normal readings🙂 As a comparison, when I was diagnosed with Type 1, my reading was approaching 30.

However, if your son isn’t feeling right, then maybe a word with the GP is sensible as there could be a number of other things causing his symptoms. Always best to have a word if you’re at all concerned.

Thanks
I suffer with a very low heart rate and I think he had inherited it too
My father was type 1 and just wanted to rule it out
Great stuff thanks

You were very sensible keeping Type 1 in mind - far better to check than ignore things 🙂 I can’t comment on the low heart rate but, again, I’d speak with his GP if that’s something concerning you. Even if it’s nothing, the reassurance can be a big help.
