The UK's first non-professional diabetic team who are based in Bristol have been honoured by the city by being selected to ride part of the Tour of Britain Bristol leg on Wednesday 10th September.

Dymag T1 D was formed only a few months ago under the sponsorship of Bristol based entrepreneur Chris Shelley who owns the Dymag wheel company. The team is led by Ian Rees, a Type 1 Diabetes sufferer who has set out to prove that a high level of sporting achievement is possible even when suffering from an illness such as diabetes.

Ian has had a stellar year of results, most recently winning the Ride London Sportive beating thousands of other competitors. He also holds the title of BCF Elite, Ilton and Kalas Race Series.
