This website is published by academic members of University of Cambridge Statistical Laboratory. http://understandinguncertainty.org More thoughtful explanation of statistics, including survival rates, risk etc that usual. Pages are graded according to level of maths required, from 1 - no maths, 2 - high GCSE ability, 3 - high A level ability, 4 - university level (but none written yet!)

Looks like a useful resource when attempting to interpret news reports of risk etc.
