With the cost of insulin being unaffordable to many, an article about how people via social media and technology are helping fellow diabetics by sharing spare insulin to help others manage their diabetes.

I find underground a strange term as people are openly discussing I have seen regularly on Twitter.

Not everyone can afford to obtain the amount of debt that the president is happy to have though, would they? Nor would they be able to get it.

I have read stories of not just the cost, but some can be limited to what type of Insulin they can have due to Insurance restrictions too!

Same with pumps - not allowed to have an X pump cos insurer has done a deal with Y, ditto the insulin. Knob all to do with the patient, you simply can only have whatever we say. I mean to some degree the NHS is the same with regard to pumps, just not a blatant or stringent or We are the authority and you know nothing.

Yeah, is this what we have to look forward too?

Before the pandemic many near the Canadian Border were reported to cross over into Canada, to purchase at more affordable prices.

Another article about the underground networks of diabetics in the U.S
Not an easy read, particularly if you yourself are diabetic, as you will fully understand the necessity of insulin to maintain basic functioning. Saying that 56% of the diabetics they asked had freely given insulin to other diabetics. This is the "modern" world in 2020! :(
