Doctors at the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (Nice) have approved the Exogen ultrasound system for use in those with bone fractures that have not healed after nine months.

The device delivers low-intensity pulsed ultrasound waves which, according to Nice, ?aim to promote bone healing through stimulating the production of growth factors and proteins which increase the removal of old bone, and increase the production of new bone?.

Ooooh, would it work on Pete's broken collarbone d'you think? Broken in 2005, still broken?

Consulatnt said operating could cause more probs as the flesh is thin there and the screws etc could cause more probs than keeping it overlapping and moving about.

Doesn't hinder him partic except when doing stuff above his head and he's had to stop doing handsprings etc ever since.

I would be interested as the ceilings need painting again .......
