UK borders to shut

UK borders are to close but why the hell did it take 3 lockdowns to do it? if it was done on the first then perhaps we wouldn't of been in this constant mess.

off course the airports and airline companies are again having a good old moan but surely they could adapt to bring in and out supplies to make some money.

i listen to shipping and often pick up the ferries last time lockdown there was no passengers just goods going across but so far in this lockdown they have been letting people on board so will be interesting to see if they go back to just goods again.

I had not heard borders are closing.
I heard air corridors are closing which just means anyone flying into England (not sure about Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) needs to quarantine.
I have read nothing about how quarantine will be enforced. No Covid hotels like Australia, for example.

Enforcement will be the same as before, only they're going to do it a bit more. (So there'll be a higher probability of people being called to make sure they're at home.)

But yes, it's rather feeble compared to doing it properly.
