The phrase "no evidence" should be banned. It's a phrase people use either unwittingly or deliberately to throw people off the track and away from the possible or more likely truth. This WHO example being the absolutely perfect example, which resulted in a worldwide pandemic. What they are actually saying in their "no evidence" claim is that from the "few (2 or 3)" people they have spoken to, they've found no evidence to date. This "no evidence" strategy used by many is by no stretch of the imagination a strong argument for anything, it's actually a dangerous and negligent way to offer scientific advice.

A more honest approach would be to say "we don't believe" or "we don't know" human to human spread of the new virus is possible, rather than the old trick of "no evidence".

Evidence if fluid, it can change.
