I am having a PetCt scan on Tuesday next week (treatment and scans are still taking place in Sussex). I know what it entails. They use radiated glucose to highlight rather than the usual contrast. My glucose level should be between 4-8 max 10 or they cancel it. The appointment is for 11 and I’m told to take my Metforminx4 at six in the evening when I stop eating.
I had a dummy run and even reducing carbs the day before could only get a reading of 8.1... fast from 8 in the evening till 9 in the morning. I have a feeling that the longer the fast the higher the glucose levels because something is trying to level up.
Anyone else had this scan?
