Type II Life Insurance

A friend moved house two months ago and has now found that they do not have life cover for the mortgage. They called me as they thought I might have an idea on companies. As I took mine out years ago I am now out of touch. Any ideas. Basic details are:-

Age: 50+
Health: Type II (3 years), hypertension, overweight
Medication: Metformin, BP tablets and the default statins
Also occasional smoker

have you tried a google search? I know there are some firms reccomended by diabetes UK, but have heard they are expensive.

When I got quotes for travel insurance trough DUK they were 3 - 4 higher than what I eventually paid! I think they have looked for quotes on the internet but that it hits problems once you start declaring medical problems. Competitive for those who are perfectly healthy!!! Thats why they are after specific companies to approach.

I'm surprised your friends mortgage lender didn't include insurance, it's usually art of the deal. Try a broker or phone a direct insurance company.
