Hello I’m 48 and just been put on insulin , I’m taking novamix 30 twice a day could anyone please tell me an average dose is ?? It would help me a lot
Many thanks

There is no average dose, it’s unique to each individual. How much are you taking and what are your blood sugars like?

Hello I’m on 50 units twice a day my sugars are 11.4 at the moment

The starting dose is pretty much a guess, as people vary so much, and they will probably estimate low to try to avoid hypos, and then adjust it gradually until your BG levels are better. Hopefully they are going to contact you to get feedback on your BGs?
