I have type 2 diabetes managed by diet and metformin. I’m not sure if I’m meant to tell the dvla or not? My nurse said yes but the leaflet she gave me says no?
As I read it unless you are at risk of hypo (not metformin) or have complications involving your eyes or loss of feeling in your feet, you don't need to tell them
Hi @ImNotDancing, I am a T2 on metformin and haven't informed DVLA. One of the nurses I work with tells me metformin doesn't cause hypos and I've certainly never had one. Reading on this forum makes me realise how lucky I am to be a stable T2.
