I have type 2 diabetes managed by diet and metformin. I’m not sure if I’m meant to tell the dvla or not? My nurse said yes but the leaflet she gave me says no?

Hi @ImNotDancing, I am a T2 on metformin and haven't informed DVLA. One of the nurses I work with tells me metformin doesn't cause hypos and I've certainly never had one. Reading on this forum makes me realise how lucky I am to be a stable T2.

Yes I’m sure Metformin is not on the list of meds that require you to notify the DVLA, so you should be fine.
