Type 2 Running London Marathon looking for some training advice as on the 800 calorie per day diet

Standard disclaimer re not being an expert, but ... doing something like marathon training on an 800 cal diet makes zero sense!

(And the lead "Newcastle diet" 800 cal guy, Prof Roy Taylor, says avoid exercise during the 800 cal phase.)

I'd really talk to yr doc about it.
 
Serious advice: Ditch the 800 Cal diet, go on a Keto 'way of eating', get your body 'fat adapted' then you will have no problems running marathons, Triathlons etc - many distance athletes train and run on Keto.

See videos by Prof Tim Noakes, the pre-eminent South African Sports medic, (or as Eddy calls him 'quack') he is still a long distance athlete (now in his 70's) using a Low Carb way of eating - he also got his Type 2 Diabetes in remission on no meds.

Dr Aseem Malhotra (a UK Cardiologist - also according to Eddy a 'quack') has a patient who went off statins and onto Low Carb, who competes in the Iron Man Triathlon each year all after having a heart attack.

On a strict diet but snacking and adding to it?
On an Atkins type low carb high fat diet I can go out and service the knitting machines at the local college, thirty some machines and although I do feel tired at the end of it all I don't need to worry about energy levels hauling the heavy machines around all day. I am no longer young nor fit, but I am well fuelled which is what seems to count most heavily.
