Hi im new n here I was wondering if anyone knows of an exercise I can do , I have arthritis and recent knee replacement so cannot walk thanks🙂

Hi patkiit, welcome to the forum 🙂 Have you been diagnosed long? What insulin are you on? I ask that because it may be a consideration should you increase your activity levels which would make you more sensitive to your insulin.

Has your doctor made any suggestions? In some parts of the country you can be referred to a physiotherapist who can design an exercise suitable to the problems you have to consider. Do you swim? Swimming is one of the best exercises you can do because it it puts no stress on the joints and supports your body in the water, yet it also exercises all your muscle groups and is very beneficial for your cardiovascular system 🙂 Were you given any rehabilitation exercises after your knee surgery?

I have mobility problems too Patkiit and have a modified form of Tai Chi that I can do sitting or lying down, plus some yoga I've been doing since the 70s. I also agree with Northe, swimming is brilliant as you can get a good work out while being supported in the water But, whatever you do, you need to do in conjunction with your physio so that you don't damage anything.

Welcome to the forum Patkiit 🙂
