I have to start using insulin next week, and thinking of getting some for of case or bag to carry all,the nessesary items in for daily use and emergencies, can any one recommend a bag or case and more importantly what should I keep in it

Hi Wayne. I use a suitable size pencil case, which I put in my handbag, Others use their pockets. I have a small plastic box for my sharps etc till I get home .
You'd need to keep
Needles, BG testing gear, your preferred hypo treatment, I use dextrose energy tablets as they don't take up much space, in use insulin I also carry a spare of each insulin .
If you have reusable pens you only need to keep 1cartridge of each as a spare In case of accidents when you're out , plus their is less waste.

At home I alway have , 1 spare pack (it's usually 5 in a pack) of Each insulin plus the pack I'm using in the fridge, this give me breathing space if , something goes wrong with my repeat prescription or the insulin has been compromised and I have to chuck a pack.

I used for a while a clear plastic pencil case you can usually get for approx £1.00.

There are a number of purpose built diabetic kit bags. Check out Amazon or even the DUK shop

Good luck
