Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Hi all, last few months have not been good, bit life changing. Diagnosed with osteoarthritis in knees severely limiting my movement, had to move bed downstairs as we have no bathroom upstairs, then just adjusting to that am diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. All was going well for a couple of weeks then my single brother in law got evicted and he is now living with us (I already have the youngest brother in law living with my husband and I. This last straw just has put me back, so far as I fee; I get no Privacy

Welcome.
Sounds far from ideal. Unfortunately stress does not help blood sugar levels.

Hi Linda and welcome to the forum.

Welcome. Not a very ideal situation when you need to be concentrating on yourself right now to get you in a better place healthwise. Hopefully they are all pulling their weight and not expecting it all from you . If they are doing their fair share of cooking, shopping, washing, cleaning etc. it will leave you more free time to read up about the best way to sort out how to keep your blood glucose balanced. Do they do knee replacements for osteo?

Hi, thanks for the comments. It is not ideal, they do do some of the housework, it is like having three teenagers, I have to remind them. Knee replacement on the cards but not for sometime have to lose weight first and sort out my blood glucose. First review in March so I will know what is going on a bit more then xxx

Welcome, Linda. I have slightly dodgy knees, so I winced in sympathy when I read your post! Lots of good info here, so have a read around the different sections and ask anything you like - somebody is bound to know!

Good luck with the weight loss and the knee replacement. I too have oestoarthritis but only have it in one knee, had it injected yesterday with steriods.

Hi Linda and welcome. It all sounds a bit much right now. I hope the in laws soon find alternative accommodation so you can relax more in your own home. Diabetes takes some adjusting to and there's lots to learn but take your time and have a read on this forum for help.

Welcome Linda, sounds less than ideal especially when adjusting to your own issues.
