Type 2
Hi all, I thought I would just dot down my experience of Type 2 since being diagnose two weeks ago. I had returned from holiday with all the symptoms un knowing to me IE thurst, going to Toliet 2 to 4 times an hour and extreme exhaustion. I had a doctors appointment at the end of the week, which is where I discussed how I was feeling. My Doctor wasn't happy I hadnt seen him earlier. I felt really ill and was on the verge of going to A&E. Doc prescribed Metformin and now on second week, what a difference. I have now been walking 30 mins each day this week. DIet totally changed low fat as described by other posts. Would be good to understand how others felt when first prescribed as my calfs and feet get cramps and my back has a slight tingling sensatation. My doctor has been really good and seeing him again tomorrow to get further blood tests back and seeing the diabetes clinic on Friday. I see a lot of comments re their doctors offering little advice. I must have asked about 30 + questions when he said I had type 2 so don't be put off and don't leave until you have the service you expect.

Welcome to the forum Keny. Good to hear your GP has been supportive. Not all are bad, but people are more likely to post about problems than good service.

Welcome Kevin, great to see you have had good support from your GP.

Hello and welcome to the forum Keny. 🙂 All those nasty symptoms. :( I didn't get any at all.
