Hi online forum,
I'm working with the University of Bristol researchers on SPHERE Next Steps (www.irc-sphere.ac.uk). They are now developing technology for the home to support people with Type 2 diabetes in the future - working with adults who have the condition and those who live with them.

The university has created a document to explain the project for participants - and wants feedback on this from over 18s with Type 2, or people who live with them via online interviews during August 2020.

You can be from any household type (single or multi-household) and live anywhere in the UK, you just need an internet connection. Researchers are giving shopping vouchers as a a thank you to those taking part. For more info contact Rachel Eardley: sphere-design@bristol.ac.uk or call 0117 428 4259.

I'm attaching a document which gives a bit more info about what's involved and hope people can take part/spread the word about this study.

Many thanks for taking time to read this.

Best wishes

Sue

Hi Sue,

I tried emailing the address given and it was bounced back as undeliverable.
Here is the error message and the screenshot of the address I used.Screenshot 2020-08-09 at 20.59.43.pngScreenshot 2020-08-09 at 21.00.07.png

Sensors in the home to help with type two?
On the lid of the biscuit tin or the fridge door perhaps?

I have sent @Sue Mac an email to explain the situation. Hopefully she will get in touch soon.
Hi Josh and everyone,

I have contacted the University and I had been sent a slightly wrong email address, the correct one is sphere-design@bristol.ac.uk. I think the old one has been disbanded as it was for a former research project.

Many thanks for alerting me and for your interest.
Thanks both - I've resent my email to the correct address.

Hi everyone,

Many thanks to all those who responded to the Type 2 Diabetes University of Bristol Study - there are just a few places left now if anyone is interested in taking part in the online interview, someone else living in the household can also take part. You just need an internet connection. For more information contact Rachel Eardley: sphere-design@bristol.ac.uk or call 0117 428 4259.
