I'm looking for any good books to read about eating well with type 2 diabetes. Books that aren't complicated, or full of medical information or difficult recipes. Just plain and simple common sense stuff that isn't scary. Any recommendations gratefully received. Thanks.

What are plain and simple recipes to one are complex for another as that's entirely subjective. That caveat not withstanding I do recommend all of the ones from Kate and Giancarlo Caldesi.
Have to say though I mainly use standard recipe books for inspiration and then if I'm stuck how to make something lower carb I tend to turn to Google and see what I can find.

You could try Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution. I used the 2003 edition. It is not a best seller for nothing.
